MiiGo – Cancellation Policy
1. Overview
This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which users (passengers) and drivers may cancel a ride booked through the MiiGo platform. By using the MiiGo taxi booking system, you agree to comply with this policy.
2. Passenger Cancellation
2.1 Free Cancellation Period
Passengers may cancel a ride free of charge within 2–5 minutes after the booking is confirmed, provided that the driver has not yet arrived at the pickup location.
2.2 Cancellation Fees
A cancellation fee may apply in the following cases:
• Cancellation after the free cancellation period has expired
• Cancellation after the driver has arrived at the pickup location
• Repeated cancellations that negatively impact driver availability
The cancellation fee will be calculated based on:
• Time elapsed since booking
• Distance traveled by the driver toward the pickup point
2.3 No-Show Policy
If the passenger fails to appear at the pickup location within a reasonable waiting time (typically 5–10 minutes after driver arrival), the ride will be marked as a “No-Show”, and a cancellation fee will be charged.
3. Driver Cancellation
3.1 Acceptable Driver Cancellations
Drivers may cancel a ride under the following circumstances:
• Passenger does not show up at the pickup location
• Safety concerns or inappropriate passenger behavior
• Incorrect or unreachable pickup location
3.2 Driver Accountability
Frequent or unjustified cancellations by drivers may result in:
• Temporary suspension from the platform
• Permanent deactivation in severe or repeated cases
4. Scheduled Ride Cancellations
For rides scheduled in advance:
• Free cancellation is allowed up to 30–60 minutes before the scheduled pickup time
• Cancellations made within this window may incur a fee
5. Refund Policy
• Cancellation fees are non-refundable, except in cases of system errors or verified issues
• If a payment was made in advance, any eligible refund will be processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days
6. Exceptional Circumstances
Cancellation fees may be waived in the event of:
• Technical issues within the MiiGo platform
• Emergencies (subject to verification)
• Driver-related issues (e.g., excessive delay, unprofessional conduct)
7. Abuse of Cancellation Policy
MiiGo reserves the right to take action against users who abuse the cancellation system, including:
• Excessive cancellations
• Fraudulent booking behavior
Actions may include account warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.
8. Policy Updates
MiiGo reserves the right to update or modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app or website.
